Profile of The Programme
The fact that the diagnosis and treatment of diseases is based on the results of the tests carried out in laboratories, and the awareness of the health personnel who can use the equipments and equipments in the laboratories and who can perform the routine tests required by the physicians, has revealed the importance of medical laboratory techniques education in our country as in the world. Our country; In parallel with the increasing population, there is a need for trained Medical Laboratory Technicians who will be able to use medical devices and equipments and perform tests depending on the developing technology, in the increasing number of health institutions, in the laboratories.
The purpose of the Medical Laboratory Techniques program; The aim of this course is to provide routine service in clinical and research laboratories of clinical biochemistry, hematology, microbiology and molecular biology laboratories, and to participate in research studies, to carry out all kinds of techniques used in these studies, to train technicians who can work in the field of health. In addition, the main objective of the program is to meet the need of qualified personnel in the pharmaceutical industry, in the private science laboratories, in the university and institute research laboratories and in the companies producing or marketing medical laboratory equipment.
Medical Laboratory Techniques Program;
Principles of Atatürk and History of Turkish Revolution, Turkish Language, Foreign Language, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Rational Medicine Practices, Medical Terminology, Laboratory Techniques and Principles, Occupational Health and Safety, Health Law, Medical Biology and Genetics, Hematology, Medical Microbiology, General Chemistry General Biochemistry, Laboratory Safety, Clinical Biochemistry, Histology, First Aid, Basic Computer Education, Molecular Biological Methods, Parasitology, Immunological Methods, Pathology, Infectious Diseases and Control are given.
In addition to the courses and year-end applications, the students are required to do a summer internship in the biochemistry, microbiology and serology laboratories of the hospitals for 6 weeks.
