Objectives of the Course

The General Chemistry course, , aims at providing to Medical Laboratory Techniques program students a basic knowledge of chemistry such as the structure of atoms, the elements, the periodic table and chemical bonding, employing experiments to support the relevant lectures.

Course Contents

The General Chemistry course, contains the basic information about chemistry the Medical Laboratory Techniques students need for their laboratory applications. In this context basic concepts about principles of operation and security measures assessed in the laboratory, laboratory tools and devices are introduced, atom, elements, periodic table,compounds, chemical bonds, chemical reactions, mixtures and moles – molarity are provided.
