Vocational School for Health Services - Surgery Room Services(E.E.)

As of March 28, 2006, Istanbul Bilim University started its education in Vocational School of Health Services. The Operating Room Services Program is active as of 2014 in our school. The education period is 2 years and the language of instruction is Turkish. On average, our Operating Room Services Program, which has a quota of 30-40 students in each academic year, has been carrying out a one-to-one, unique, effective role model training since its inception.

Operating Room Technician

To be placed in the Vocational School of Health Services with high school diploma and TYT score type of the University Placement Exam.

In formal and non-formal practice, formal application is made on the basis of "Regulation on the principles of transfer between associate degree and bachelor's degree programs, double major and minor credit transfer between institutions in higher education institutions" determined by Higher Education Institution.

Completion of a total of 124 ECTS credits is sufficient for graduation, provided that all courses and summer internships in the 2-year education program are achieved.

The aim of the Operating Room Technician Program; sensitive to human, society and ethical principles; aiming to continuously improve his profession; adopting scientific thinking; working as an Operating Room Technician in public institutions and private organizations in the health sector, open to different ideas and cultures; In all the operating theaters and diagnostic - treatment units, which can help in the implementation of interventions in the units of intervention, preparation of devices used in interventions - to provide the sterilization of professional knowledge and skills to train health manpower. The duration of the training is 2 years. Atatürk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution, Turkish Language, Foreign Language, Rational Medicine, Occupational Health and Safety, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Health Law, Operating Room Technology, Surgical Diseases Information, Operating Room Applications, First Aid, Sterilization and Disinfection , Anesthesia Device-Equipments and Applications, Quality-Accreditation in Health Services and Patient Safety, Wound Care, Infectious Diseases and Control are taught. In addition, the summer internship of Public or Private Hospitals within the scope of the summer internship in the first year in the first class in the summer internship, II. In the classroom, it is obligatory to perform the applications of the lectures in operating rooms, operating units, sterilization units, and in the units where the attempts are made for diagnosis and treatment.

The students who have completed the Operating Room Services Program are awarded with associate degree diploma and ere Operating Room Technician Am title. Operating Room Technicians can work in all units of public and private health institutions operating in the Ministry of Health, in the operating rooms, in central sterilization units, in endoscopy - angio - interventional radiology units and in all units where attempts are made for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. They can work as a physician assistant and circulate in the units they work.

The students of the operating room program can be transferred to the Emergency Assistance and Disaster Management, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

The examination, evaluation and evaluation criteria made during the education and training period of the program are given in the T.C. It is carried out in accordance with the requirements specified in Istanbul Bilim University Undergraduate and Associate Degree Examination Regulations. Our Vocational School carries out basic science education with 13 classrooms and 3 application laboratories (with advanced technological equipment). We have a computer lab with 1 PC per computer connected to the Internet per student and 7 database servers that provide access to basic books, medline and electronic journals for each program and 81.000 e-books. Practical trainings; In our university's hospital, Fulya has 112 beds. Istanbul Bilim University is a research and application center of European Florence Nightingale Hospital and a 27-bed T.C. Istanbul Bilim University European Florence Nightingale Hospital Research and Application Center is held at Bedii Gorbon Cancer Center. In addition, the 225-bed Group Florence Nightingale hospitals are also used for practice purposes. The Group Florence Nightingale offers the opportunity for students who graduate as operating room technicians.
