Objectives of the Course
The objectives of the course are to enable students to gain knowledge about information systems and information technologies, fields of health information systems, e-health, e-health applications in Turkey, development of health information systems applications in the world and in Turkey, hospital information systems, telemedicine, mobile health and health literacy; to enable students to gain knowledge and skills for accessing and using scientific information.

Course Contents
This course covers basic concepts of information systems, transition to knowledge society, information literacy, effective use of Internet and computer technologies, e-health applications and recent projects in Turkey, information systems in health services, patient monitoring systems in chronic diseases, hospital information systems, public health informatics, knowledge management and change management in health institutions.
