Objectives of the Course

To provide physical and psychiatric, spiritual, social and economic problems in the patient and his / her family who need palliative care during the palliative care process, to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to apply the effective treatment methods with care period and grief period.At the end of this course, the student is aimed to win the following behaviors.Describe the palliative care process and patient groups that require palliative care. Palliative care makes symptom assessment in patients.Describe the needs of patients and their families in need of palliative care in terms of the nursing process.Plans the care needs of the patient who needs end-of-life care.Know national - international laws and regulations related to palliative care

Definition and history of palliative care, Palliative care team and palliative care nursing, Palliative care models, Control of primary disease during palliative care, Symptom management in palliative care, Assessment and control of physical symptoms in patients and families requiring palliative care, Identification and control of psychiatric problems in patients and families requiring palliative care, Oncologic acylarities in palliative care, Patient and family care requiring palliative care, Palliative care must be effectively handled by the patient and his / her family during grief, Patient care after exclusion.
