Objectives of the Course

To evaluate the historical development, basic concepts, method and point of view of the social / cultural anthropology discipline. The aim of this course is to enable students to understand and analyze the reasons of differences between cultures, to be able to evaluate a culture as a whole in a specific context, to gain the ability to think critically and write.

Course Contents

Man has always felt the need to seek answers to the questions of who he is, where he came from, what he came from when he began to exist on earth, and why and how. Anthropology has emerged as a scientific approach that has been trying to answer these questions for over 200 years. Within the scope of the course; It provides students with an introduction to the principles and processes of cultural anthropology that assesses humanity in its simplest and most natural form, and in its culture and culture without discrimination.
