Objectives of the Course

To teach students the development of the nursing profession from past to present, to gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to care for healthy and sick individuals with the awareness of their roles and responsibilities in line with deontological and ethical principles.

Course Contents

This course includes human and patient rights, nursing philosophy and values system, ethics and the roles of nurses, ethical codes and ethical decision making process in nursing, nursing legislation, medical practice errors and nursing, contemporary care, treatment interventions and ethical aspects, ethical decision making process.
