Objectives of the Course

The purpose of the anatomy course II; Students will gain the knowledge and skills to recognize the anatomy of the body systems ( Respiratory system, Nervous system, Endocrine system, Urinary system, Reproductive system, Sensory organs and evolution anatomy )

Learning Outcomes

1 Students explain the anatomical terms associated with the respiratory system, nervous system, endocrine system, urinary system, reproductive system and sense organs
2 Students will identify the structure, localization, and function of respiratory system, the nervous system, the endocrine system, urinary system, reproductive system and sensory organs
3 Students will explain the relationship between each of the systems
4 Students establish a relationship between anatomy and the specific nursing course and use the knowledge gained in these areas
5 Students will know the spelling, pronunciation and meaning of medical terms and will use this terminology in nursing practice related records

1 The anatomy of the respiratory system: Upper and lower airways, lungs and pleural
2 The anatomy of the gastrointestinal tract: Upper gastrointestinal tract: Oral cavity, Oesophagus, stomach, duodenum
3 The anatomy of the gastrointestinal tract: Lower gastrointestinal tract: Small intestine, large intestine
4 The anatomy of the gastrointestinal tract: Accessory organs: Liver, Gall bladder, pancreas, Salivary glands
5 Anatomy of the Urinary System: Kidneys , ureters, bladder and urethra.
6 Reproductive system anatomy: Female reproductive system
7 Reproductive system anatomy: Male reproductive system
8 Midterm Exam
9 Nervous System Anatomy : Central Nervous System : Brain; neurons and glial cells, Ventricles, Meninges and Cerebrospinal Fluid Cerebrum,
10 Nervous System Anatomy : Central Nervous System : Brainstem, Cerebellum, Spinal Cord
11 Nervous System Anatomy : Peripheral nervous system: Cranial and spinal nerves
12 Anatomy of the Endocrine System: Hypothalamus, Pineal gland, Pituitary, Thyroid and Parathyroids, Adrenal Gland , Pancreas, Ovary and testis
