Course Contents

Production of milk and milk products, meat and meat products, vegetables and fruits, grains, flours, aquatic prproducts and eggs.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents

1 Drinking water and tap water, properties, water hardness, acidities, oxygen content of water, solubility of carbon dioxide in water,
2 Water purification, water treatment, disinfection of water, softening of water, bacteriological issues
3 Milk, properties, milk sugars, milk proteins, milk fat, milk minerals, gases and enzymes, vitamins in milk
4 Production of milk and milk products, pasteurization, sterilization, condensed milk, milk powder, yogurt, butter
5 Margarines, cheese kinds, productions, whey water, spoilages in milk products,
6 Lipids, fats and oils ( sesame oil, olive oil, corn oil, etc)
7 Midterm examination week
8 Midterm examination week
9 Fats and oils in domestic use, raffination, decomposition of fats and oils,
10 Carbohydrates, general properties, starch, corn syrup, inulin, honey, sugar production
11 Grains, grounded grains, flours and flour products, breads,
