Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course; health needs ındividual and community and the fundamental principles on medical nursing healthy / ill individual, protection of family and community health and development, frequent respiratory diseases, cardiovascular system diseases, blood diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, endocrine system diseases, urinary tract diseases, nervous system diseases and care, ensure patient family education and the development of knowledge and skills for rehabilitation.

| 1 | Describe the basic concepts related to health promotion and protection from diseases. |
| 2 | Explain the primary and secondary preventive interventions of promoting health. |
| 3 | Define the basic treatment approaches and management of common clinical problems. |
| 4 | Assess the care needs in emergency situations and critical conditions, and decide on the nursing diagnosis, develop nursing care plans, implement interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the care interventions. |
| 5 | Develop a patient education program and implement the patient and family education for common clinical problems. |

Course Contents
This course covers the basic concepts of Medical Nursing, and knowledge about nursing care practices, care for the bed-ridden patient, treatment and nursing management of patients with respiratory system disorders, nursing care of patients with hematologic disorders, cardiovascular system diseases, cancer and nursing care, gastrointestinal tract disorders, endocrine system diseases, urinary tract diseases, nervous system disorders.
