Objectives of the Course
The objectives of the course are to enable students to gain knowledgeabout health information systems, fields of healthinformation systems, health information technologies in the world and in Turkey,hospital information systems, several information technology applications in chronic diseases and health promotion activities; to enable students to gain knowledge and skills for use of health information technologies in nursing process.

This course covers basic concepts of health information systems, e-health applications and recent projects in Turkey,information systems in health services, management of health information projects, nursing informatics, distance patient monitoring systems inmanagement of chronic diseases, hospital information systems, public health informatics, different practices from several countries.
