Objectives of the Course

To give information about prostheses, indications, applications, modifications and possible complications; to provide understanding of amputation rehabilitation. To be able to plan and apply the appropriate treatment program for amputees.

Course Contents

Amputation, causes of amputation, levels, congenital extremity deficiency, partial hand and foot prostheses, prosthesis applications and component selection according to upper and lower extremity amputation levels, static and dynamic settings in prostheses, control mechanisms, walking problems in lower limb amputees, early and temporary prosthesis applications, myoelectric prostheses, advanced technological prosthesis applications and amputation rehabilitation
