Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide the ability to understand the functions and functions of central, peripheral and autonomic nervous system and to distinguish the functional disorders that may occur as a result of these neuroanatomical structures.

1 Understands macro and micro anatomy and properties of central, peripheral and autonomic nervous system.
2 Defines the functions and functions of neuroanatomical structures.
3 Determines the interactions of these structures in motor-sense and perceptual processes.
4 Describe the signs and symptoms that may develop as a result of dysfunction of neuroanatomic structures.
5 Uses neuroanatomy knowledge in physiotherapy application and decision making process

Course Contents

Introduction to Central Nervous System, Gross anatomy of medulla spinalis (MS), internal structure of MS, descending paths, pathways, peripheral nervous system and pathologies, autonomic nervous system, brain membranes, hemispheres and cerebrospinal fluid circulation, cerebral artery, vein and pathologies, functional areas of brain, cranial nerves and pathologies, diencephalon and pathologies, brainstem, cerebellum and pathologies and limbic system theoretically.
