Objectives of the Course

To inform about neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, symptoms of neurologic diseases, medical treatment methods and instruct about considerations of their physiotherapy approachs.

Course Contents

Brain, spinal cord, cranial nerves, peripheral nerves and muscles anatomy, physiology, and pathology. The main pathophysiology of neurological diseases, symptoms, treatment methods, considerations for implementing physiotherapy for neurological diseases. Issues presented in an interactive format on the student are expected to participate actively in class. This is realized in the form of questions and answers during the presentation from place to place.

2 Motor system and its disorders, sensory system and its disorders.
3 Cerebellum anatomy and physiology, cerebellar disorders, ataxia
4 Basal ganglia anatomy and physiology, movement disorders, Parkinson's disease
5 Peripheral nervous system anatomy and diseases
6 Cerebrovascular disease, approach to hemiparesis
7 Midterm exams

9 Aphasia, dementia, coma,
10 Motor end plate and its diseases, muscle diseases
11 Spinal cord anatomy and physiology, medullary syndromes, motor neuron diseases
12 Demyelinating disease and MS
