Importance of Nutrition, Definitions, Relation between Nutrition and Health. Metabolism, Food Groups. Identification, chemical structure, classification, importance, functions, digestion, absorption and daily intake recommendations of nutrients (carbohydrate, fat, protein, vitamins, minerals, water). Nutrition in Special Groups.
