Objectives of the Course
To gain knowledge and skills about internal medicine and care during pregnancy, to detect problems in internal medicine patients, and to make interventions appropriate for planning.

| 1 | Describe the basic concepts related to health promotion and protection from diseases. |
| 2 | Explain the primary and secondary preventive interventions of promoting health. |
| 3 | Define the basic treatment approaches and management of common clinical problems. |
| 4 | Assess the care needs in emergency situations and critical conditions, and decide on the nursing diagnosis, develop nursing care plans, implement interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the care interventions. |
| 5 | Develop a patient education program and implement the patient and family education for common clinical problems. |
| 6 | Define basic knowledge and practices for the common medical problems during pregnancy, and prevention, treatment and care management for the common medical problems during pregnancy |

This course covers fluid-electrolyte and acid-base imbalances during pregnancy, pain management, basic concepts in internal medicine, oncological diseases, respiratory system, hematological system, cardiovascular system, urinary system, endocrine system, digestive system, nervous system diseases and midwifery approaches.
