Objectives of the Course

This course aims to provide the knowledge and behavior about protection of women's health ,improving and analysis of physical and psychosocial problems in the prenatal period.

Learning Outcomes

1 Explain the information related to human reproductive anatomy and physiology, embryo / fetus shall growth and development
2 Make physical examination of pregnant women and the estimated date of birth is done by calculating the week of pregnancy
3 Applies essential midwifery care for physiological and metabolic changes, complaints associated with these changes which seen in pregnancy
4 Executes midwifery services for women before pregnancy and during pregnancy within the safe motherhood
5 Executes the appropriate midwifery care by understanding the importance and purpose of prenatal care, prenatal care follow-up plan
6 Work in a spirit of team work with other members of the healthcare team applying what they learned about midwifery care during clinical practices unassisted
7 Be aware of protection and promotion of scientific and technological developments related to the women's health and reproductive health.

Female Reproductive System Anatomy - Reproductive System Physiology, Physiology of pregnancy - the embryo / fetus Growth and Development,Physiological, Psychological and Metabolic Changes In Pregnancy , Safe Motherhood, Taking History of Pregnancy, Examination and Registration,Pregnancy Symptoms and Diagnostics, Diagnostic Pregnancy, Pregnancy and Calculation of Estimated Date of BirthVaginal Examination - Abdominal ExaminationAssessment of Mothers During Pregnancy - Fetal Health Assessment will be required include theoretical and practical skills

9 Biopsychological diagnostics and examination during pregnancy
10 Physiological/psychological changes and adaptation of pregnancy
11 Support in coping with the usual changes in pregnancy
12 Common complaints and counseling during pregnancy
13 Self-care during pregnancy
