| 1 | Makes family planning counselling using communication skills. |
| 2 | Plans, implements and assesses midwifery care in pregnancy, labor and postpartum periods. |
| 3 | İdentifies abnormalities in the mother and the fetus during pregnancy and provides the appropriate care. |
| 4 | Makes an assesment of the mother during labor, explains possible inconveniences of the mother |
| 5 | Prepares the mother for the labor and delivers the baby |
| 6 | Detecs risky situations in labor and acts accordingly |
| 7 | Knows the fundementals about newborn care and implements them |
| 8 | Meets the requirements of the mother,newborn and the family in the postpartum periods |
| 9 | Provides healthcare education and consultancy for the requirements of the mother and the family |
| 10 | Works well with the other members of the health care team. |
