Learning Outcomes

1 Makes family planning counselling using communication skills.
2 Plans, implements and assesses midwifery care in pregnancy, labor and postpartum periods.
3 İdentifies abnormalities in the mother and the fetus during pregnancy and provides the appropriate care.
4 Makes an assesment of the mother during labor, explains possible inconveniences of the mother
5 Prepares the mother for the labor and delivers the baby
6 Detecs risky situations in labor and acts accordingly
7 Knows the fundementals about newborn care and implements them
8 Meets the requirements of the mother,newborn and the family in the postpartum periods
9 Provides healthcare education and consultancy for the requirements of the mother and the family
10 Works well with the other members of the health care team.
