Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is analyzing the functioning of economic mechanisms by defining economic concepts which used to describe economic events, and internalizing rational behaviors when taking economic decisions both in work life and personal life.

Course Contents

Includes basic concepts, national accounting system, real and nominal GDP, economic growth and methods of measurement, the definition and calculation of inflation, the types of unemployment and problems, internal and external debt problem, aggregate demand and aggregate supply, monetary and fiscal policies, causes of the economic crises, re-establishing methods for the deteriorating macro-economic balance caused by economic crisis, monetary theory and policy, international trade theories, balanceof payments and exchange rate.
